Great John Street Hotel Wedding Photography

I’d been waiting a while to shoot my first Great John Street Hotel wedding photography so I was delighted when Kirstie and Michelle booked me to shoot their wedding day. Great John Street Hotel is part of the Eclectic Collection chain of hotels in Manchester including Didsbury House Hotel, Eleven Didsbury Park and the new King Street Townhouse. I have been lucky enough to have shot a couple of weddings at their hotels (Vicky and Stefano’s wedding at Didsbury House Hotel and Richard and Kenny’s wedding at Eleven Didsbury Park) and I was very excited to finally shoot my first day of wedding photography at Great John Street Hotel. I arrived to shoot both Kirstie and Michelle’s preparation at Great John Street Hotel. As they are both hairdressers it came as no surprise to see them doing their friends hair when I arrived. I jumped between their rooms to capture the preparation before heading upstairs for their Great John Street Hotel wedding photography.

Roof Terrace Reception

Kirstie and Michelle had an intimate and personal marriage service at the top of Great John Street Hotel. Once married they made their way out onto the roof terrace for their reception drinks. With stunning low summer sun over Manchester, it was the perfect evening for an outdoor reception and Kirstie and Michelle friends and family had an amazing time in the wonderful summer weather. I took Kirstie and Michelle for a short twenty minute walk in and around the streets near to Great John Street Hotel for their couple photos before we returned for the BBQ and wedding speeches. With the sun setting over Manchester, Kirstie and Michelle had their first dance as wife and wife and kicked off the party celebration with a DJ who had flown in from Ibiza just for their wedding!
