Frequently Asked Questions
Where are you based?
I’m based close to Manchester but I cover all over the U.K. and the world. Travel costs are included in my pricing for U.K. weddings, for destination weddings just cover the airfare and some accommodation.
What happens if you are ill?
If I am ill or unable to attend your wedding I have a well planned system to ensure your day is covered. I am part of a large network of photographers who have a cover system in place, so if I cannot attend on the day a photographer who shoots in the same style will cover your day.
How long will it take to receive our photos?
Your photos will be delivered via a password protected gallery in no later than 12 weeks after your wedding date. I will give you an anticipated delivery date after your wedding and keep you informed via email of the progress of your photos.
Do you do group photos?
I appreciate that some groups photos are still needed so of course I do shoot them, I make this process quick and recommend no more than 8 group photos, which will take 15 minutes and to keep it to the important people, grandparents, parents and bridal party. I usually shoot these early on in the reception.
Can we print our pictures?
Yes, you will receive an online, password protected gallery and the images are all JPEGS that can be printed without restrictions. I’ll even recommend professional grade print companies to help you get the best quality. You can also share your gallery, upload to social media and create your own photos books from the online gallery.
Can you do photos and film at the same time?
Whilst I offer both photography and filming, I don’t think it’s possible to do both simultaneously without compromising on large parts of the day. So if you are looking for photo and film, then I work with other full time, professional photographers and videographers who assist myself on the day to cover both disciplines. You will be able to see their work and examples of weddings we have done together too should you wish.
How many photos do we receive?
You’ll receive an online gallery with at least 350 high resolution images. However, it’s be more like 450 to 600 photos depending on what happens on your day and if you have a second photographer. I only deliver the best images taken that will tell the story of your wedding day.
Do you need a meal?
I would never expect you to pay for a meal for myself at your wedding. I am more than happy to bring a packed lunch.
What if your camera breaks?
I always shoot with two camera bodies at each wedding and have a back up for each camera body. I have more lenses than I could ever need, including a back up of each lens too. As a professional wedding photographer I ensure that I can keep going even if I happen to drop a camera or it decides to stop working. I am also fully insured with professional indemnity and public liability insurance which can be provided upon request.
How do we book?
I try and make booking as easy as possible and everything is online. To book, I’ll send you my contract for you to review first then you can secure the date with a 25% booking fee. All payment are online. Your final balance will be due 4 weeks prior to your wedding and I will send a reminder and provide confirmation and invoices too!
