Crow Hill Wedding Photography // Steph and Cam
Crow Hill Wedding Photography
On Saturday I made the short journey over to Marsden to shoot Steph and Cam’s Crow Hill wedding photography. It was the first time I had shot a wedding at Crow Hill and it’s a lovely venue. Hidden away in Marsden, Crow Hill is an exclusive use venue that is all yours for the entire weekend of your wedding. Crow Hill take a unique and personal approach to every wedding. Tailoring everything for you, you can have the wedding day however you want it. Both Steph and Cam were getting ready at Crow Hill, so I shot both sets of preparation during the morning. It was a lively start to the day with every one up for the party and it was great fun shooting the ladies and gents having a great time in the build up to the wedding.
James Wray Films
Steph and Cam’s wedding was the first of 2018 where I worked alongside my good friend and wedding film maker James Wray. As always, it was a pleasure to shoot alongside James and I cannot recommend him highly enough. His films are top class (Steph even got a tear in her eye when she saw a short clip James had just filmed on the back of the camera. Safe to say, I think she’s going to love the final film. I love wedding films and firmly believe you should invest in one. The quality and creativity of modern wedding films is amazing.
Church Wedding Service
Steph and Cam were married at St Bartholomews in Marsden, a short walk away from Crow Hill. The church had beautifully light cast over Steph during the wedding service. I really enjoyed shooting with the light inside the church. A huge amount of confetti greeted Steph and Cam as they left Church. With the formals photographed outside church the guests made their way back to Crow Hill for the reception. The guests enjoyed the glorious summer sunshine outside Crow Hill and were entertained by the outstanding magician Olly Bassett. Olly produced some amazing tricks and his Rubix Cube tricks blew my mind (and Steph and Cam’s). You really do have to see Olly in action to see how good he is.
Emotional Wedding Speeches
The speeches kicked off the wedding breakfast with Steph’s brother giving an emotional speech which had everyone wiping a tear or two away. Cam followed and had everyone in fits of laughter with his edgy speech. Cam’s brother and best man rounded off the speeches with his 2018 Roast of Cam and he did not hold back with a character assassination that had the room in stitches. With low sun in the evening, Steph and Cam joined myself and James for their couple photos and film. The light was perfect and we could have spent far longer shooting Steph and Cam, who were brilliant on camera. I love the couple photos and the light we managed to get by leaving the couple session until later in the day. The first dance followed and the party was kicked off by the team from Six15 Events who had the dancefloor bouncing long into the night.
I love shooting Steph and Cam’s Crow Hill wedding photography. Here’s a sneak peek at the day and your comments are welcome below…
