Manchester Museum Wedding Photography // Caroline and Martin
Wedding in Didsbury
Caroline and Martin’s Manchester Museum wedding photography was a brilliant day from start to finish. It started at one of my favourite venues, Didsbury House Hotel, where Caroline and her bridesmaids were getting ready. Shooting bridal preparation at Didsbury House Hotel is always great fun as it’s such a beautiful venue. If you’d like to see a full wedding check out Vicky and Stefano’s wedding at Didsbury House Hotel.
Gemma from Dollface Make Up was on hair and make up duty and it was nice to see a familiar face again. Gemma is a top drawer make up artist and she is highly recommend her to all my brides after I worked with Gemma at Lucy and Andy’s Heaton House Farm wedding. The beautiful wedding flowers were supplied by award winning florist Siân from The Flower Lounge in Didsbury. The Flower Lounge is the only place to get your wedding flowers from, they are simply the best florists in the North West.
The Church of St James
Caroline and Martin had their wedding in Didsbury at The Church of St James next to Fletcher Moss Park. The church is only a short walk from Didsbury House Hotel but with frequent showers Caroline wisely chose to arrive by car with her dad. Martin was patiently waiting at the top of the aisle and they had a wonderful, personal wedding. Once the marriage service was over the wedding guests joined Caroline and Martin in the church grounds for Prosecco and canapes. Caroline and Martin joined me for fifteen minutes for their couple photos in Parsonage Gardens, opposite the church. Once we had some natural couple photos in the bag we made the short journey to the Manchester Museum.
Wedding Photography at Manchester Museum
Shooting wedding photography at Manchester Museum was something I had been very excited about. Why? Well , there is is a full size Tyrannosaurus Rex exhibit in the main gallery. The T-Rex is known as Stan and with the wedding reception being held underneath his imposing frame, it created a brilliant backdrop to the documentary photos at the wedding reception. Photographing Manchester Museum wedding photography is fantastic as there are so many amazing photo opportunities. Alongside the awesome T-Rex exhibit, the wedding breakfast room is spectacular. I can’t even begin to describe the space so I will let the photos below do the talking.
After the speeches, Caroline and Martin joined myself and Stan the T-Rex for some final couple photos in the museum. Caroline and Martin weren’t bothered about having a first dance therefore the evening party kicked off with a live band. I got myself in the middle of the fist pumping and air guitars to round off Caroline and Martin’s Manchester Museum wedding photography.
I had a brilliant time shooting Caroline and Martin’s wedding. They enjoyed their day their way and most of all, they had a fun relaxed wedding. So here’s Caroline and Martin’s Manchester Museum wedding photography, music by Oh Land, photos by me…
