A Winter Wedding at Upper House Hayfield | Natasha + Tom

Natasha and Tom’s Winter Wedding at Upper House Hayfield

Upper House in Hayfield is a spectacular wedding venue and one well worth braving freezing weather and challenging conditions to celebrate a wedding within. I’d been looking forward to returning to Upper House after shooting Sophie and Mike’s wedding there a couple of years ago. Fortunately I won’t have to wait too long for my next wedding as I am heading back there in a few months. Upper House Hayfield is a wonderful venue, with records indicating it was built and occupied from around 1378, the house remains much as it was then, so visiting Upper House in Hayfield is like stepping back in time.

Brilliant Wedding Service

Natasha started her day at her parents house before making the short journey to the church in Whaley Bridge, Father Francis performed a brilliant service, with personality, humour and plenty of singing. The guests braved the cold for a brilliant confetti run before everyone made the journey up to Upper House for the drinks reception. The weather was bitingly cold, but Natasha and Tom braved the cold for couple photos in the grounds of Upper House before returning inside to warm up during their speeches and wedding breakfast. Natasha started the speeches with a brilliant speech/poem, before her father gave a fantastic speech. There was humour and emotion for Tom during his speech before the two best men delivered a brilliant speech that revealed that Tom was a very talented rugby player before revealing his spectacular fall from playing for Leicester Tigers to the 4th team at University and then revealing Tom had a secret band and singing career, with a recording of Tom’s musical offerings, much to the amusement of every guest!

First Dance and Party

The first dance and party kicked off in the main hall and the party was well and truly bouncing  late into the night. Big shout outs to Ange and the team at Vanilla in All Seasons who provided wonderful food as always, The Flower Lounge who created the perfect wedding flowers and The Woodland Rover who were on hand to cook up Tom’s favourite meal of Pizza (a man after my own heart). Here’s a look at what happened on their wonderful winter wedding at Upper House….
