Wedding at King Street Townhouse
Jess and Joe had their wedding at King Street Townhouse in August. This was my second visit to King Street Townhouse after shooting Jen and Kieron’s wedding there earlier on in 2017. King Street Townhouse is one of the newest and coolest venues in Manchester city centre and I was very much looking forward to meeting up with Jess for his morning preparations. Flossy and Leigh were on make up duty and it was great to work alongside the team from one of the very best make up artists in the business. It was also great to see Sian from The Flower Lounge in Didsbury when she hand delivered Jess’ stunning flowers. Sian is hands down one of the very best florists in the country and Jess was absolutely delighted with her beautiful flowers.
St Ann’s Church
Once the bridal preparation was complete it was a short walk across Manchester city centre to St Ann’s Church. Situated in the heart of the city. St Ann’s is a stunning church (even if they do have some crazy lighting pointing at the bride and groom at the top of the aisle). Confetti showered Jess and Joe moments after they were married before they led their guests through the sun drenched Manchester streets (yep, something that is almost unheard of, glorious sun in Manchester). The reception was held inside King Street Townhouse where The Manchester String Quartet entertained everyone as they enjoyed canapes and champagne.
Spectacular Views
Following the wedding breakfast and speeches, Jess and Joe joined me on the roof of King Street Townhouse to make the most of the summer sun and spectacular views of the city. We then took a short walk around Manchester as the sun started to set, which created stunning light all around the streets of Manchester. Manchester is a great city to shoot couple photos around and I thoroughly enjoyed shooting in the back streets and main streets of the city. Jess and Joe’s first dance then kicked off the evening reception and the party went on long into the night. I loved shooting Jess and Joe’s wedding at King Street Townhouse.
