Jo and Al’s Wedding at East Riddlesden Hall
Wedding at East Riddlesden Hall
Jo and Al’s wedding at east Riddlesden Hall was a scorcher. I love East Riddlesden Hall, it’s a beautiful and unique wedding venue. I was really looking forward to returning after shooting Emma and Dan’s East Riddlesden Hall wedding a couple of years ago. Once again it was great weather over in Yorkshire which is perfect for East Riddlesden Hall weddings as the outdoor space at the Hall is beautiful. My day started with Jo over at Hollins Hall Hotel with the bridal preparations whilst Al was photographed at home by the excellent David Stubbs.
Marriage Service in the Barn
One both the bride and groom were ready they headed over to East Riddlesden Hall for their marriage inside the barn. The barn is a beautiful setting with exposed beams and fairy lights. It was quite a challenging lighting situation pushing the capabilities of our Sony cameras but they handled the situation brilliantly. Another thumbs up for the Sony A9! Jo arrived with her very proud father and there were tears and smiles throughout the service. After Jo and Al exchange their kiss they emerged from the barn into a huge confetti shower before walking up to the gardens for their outdoor drinks reception.
James Hey Piano
The weather was very un-Yorkshire like for Jo and Al’s day, with hot and humid conditions. I don’t think I’ve ever been so warm at a UK wedding before. However, we really shouldn’t complain about good weather should we? The guests made their way back to the barn for the wedding breakfast and speeches and were entertained by the superbly talented James Hey on Piano. James was also the DJ for the evening and was a great laugh to work with. The food was supplied by Hog and Apple and was fantastic (as David and I were treated to their lovely food). With the first dance underway the party kicked on late into the night. I’m looking forward to heading back to East Riddlesden Hall in a few weeks where I am on wedding film duties and I cannot wait. Finally a huge thank you to David Stubbs for second shooting and capturing some brilliant images. So here’s Jo and Al’s wedding at East Riddlesden Hall. Let me know what you think below…
