King Street Townhouse
My final wedding of July 2017 was Laura-Jane and Steven’s wedding at The Castlefield Rooms. I started the day at King Street Townhouse in the city centre where Laura-Jane was having her hair and make up prepared with her bridesmaids and family. King Street Townhouse is a beautiful hotel (and one I know well after shooting Jen and Kieron’s wedding there in April). If you’re having a city centre wedding there isn’t a better hotel to get ready and started the party at! It all got a little emotional when Laura-Jane’s dad came in and saw her in her wedding dress. I loved the raw emotion as he hugged Laura-Jane, it’s one of my favourite photos of the year.
The Castlefield Rooms
Once Laura-Jane was ready I made the short journey across Manchester to meet up with Steven at The Castlefield Rooms. Steven is a serving soldier in the Army and he looked very smart in his ceremonial uniform waiting at the top of the aisle. The wedding ceremony was conducted with humour and personality, as always by the brilliant registrars from Manchester City Council. With a handful of formal photos completed, Steven and his military friends headed into Castlefield for a different group photos on the old Castle walls. I’m not usually a fan of group photos but I really like this one!
Couple Photos in Castlefield
Laura-Jane and Steven then had their couple photos on the streets in and around Castlefield before we returned to The Castlefield Rooms for their wedding breakfast and speeches. With the evening party starting after Laura-Jane and Steven cut the cake and held their first dance, the party went long into the night. I really enjoyed being Laura-Jane’s and Steven’s wedding at The Castlefield Rooms. It’s a cracking venue and one I always enjoy working at. So here’s their wedding photos at The Castlefield Rooms, let me know what you think in the comments below…
