Wedding at Rookery Hall

After the glorious sunshine at Danielle and Tim’s wedding at Mottram Hall, I didn’t think I’d be lucky enough to get another hot, summer like day in Cheshire for Kim and James’ wedding at Rookery Hall. It turns out I was very lucky as Kim and James had yet another beautiful spring day for their big day. Both Kim and James got ready at Rookery Hall so I spent a little time with both bride and groom before the wedding service took place. Emotions ran high as Kim’s father saw her in the dress for the first time and he couldn’t quite hold it together coming up the aisle either. No complaints from me though as I love it when the father of the bride shows how he’s really feeling!

Confetti Shower

Once again the lovely registrars from Cheshire East put on a lovely, personal marriage service and after the formalities were signed the guests made their way to the gardens. Kim and James were then showered with confetti before everyone enjoyed champagne in the sunshine throughout the drinks reception. The speeches were before the wedding breakfast with James’ son James helping best man Andy out with his speech. James’ daughter then gave her own impromptu speech which had almost everyone in the room in tears before giving Kim and James the biggest hugs of the day.

Perfect Sunlight

With yet another wonderful evening of perfect sunlight to enjoy, I delayed the couple photos until after the wedding breakfast. Kim and James made the most of the glorious light as we headed off into a field at the back of Rookery Hall before finishing with some photos in front of the Hall. It wasn’t long before the evening reception was in full swing. It was a wonderful day shooting Kim and James’ wedding at Rookery Hall. Here’s a sneak peek of what we got up to.
