I love working at new and different wedding venues and I couldn’t wait to shoot Helen and Dean’s wedding photography at Victoria Warehouse. It’s a completely unique venue and as the name suggests, it is a huge warehouse in Old Trafford. Formerly a cotton warehouse, it’s also been home to Kellogg’s and McVities before a fire left it abandoned. Since 2009 it has been renovated into a hotel and event space where sporting events, product launches and huge dance nights take place. Alongside all of this, they also do weddings! It’s a very cool urban venue for a wedding, with a moody interior and surrounding industrial land. If you’re looking for a venue with true Manchester heart and something a million miles away from a traditional wedding venue, Victoria Warehouse should be number one on your list.

Flossy & Leigh

It was a pleasure to once again work alongside wedding make up legends Flossy and Leigh. For the first time I also had the pleasure of working with Pheobe, the mastermind behind Flossy and Leigh. Helen was bathed in glorious natural light whilst Pheobe and Jenny worked their magic. You know you’re working with top pro’s when they get the light so perfect in the room. Helen and her bridesmaids were mega-relaxed and had a great time being pampered by the multi award winning make up team. I cannot recommend Flossy and Leigh highly enough, but you’ll have to move fast, they are very much in demand!

Golden Hour Portraits

Helen made her way from Victoria Warehouse to the church where Dean was waiting. On time, Helen arrived and made her way up the aisle and from that point on I don’t think I saw Helen or Dean without a huge smile of their faces all day long. From church we all headed back to Victoria Warehouse for the reception in the very cool bar area. Helen’s father then gave a wonderful, funny and emotional speech. Dean’s best man closed the speeches with a nice bit of friendly ribbing and the sun was at the perfect level for some gorgeous golden hour portraits. Helen and Dean were brilliant to work with and it was a pleasure to shoot a couple who were so relaxed and fun. I loved shooting Helen and Dean’s Victoria Warehouse wedding photography and I can’t wait to shoot there again soon.
