Emily and Chris’ Peover Wedding

Emily and Chris’ wedding was at one of my favourite wedding venues, the stunning Colshaw Hall. I shot my first wedding back in 2014 (Naomi and Tom’s wedding which you can see here) and I couldn’t wait to shoot Emily and Chris’ wedding as it is a top class venue in Cheshire. Helping me out was James Andrew, who was on second shooting duty, so James started the day at Cottons Hotel and Spa with Chris and the lads whilst I met up with Emily at Colshaw Hall.

It was my first time working alongside Matt from Aaron Rose Wedding Films who is a thoroughly top fella. It was great to see Chloe Johnson on make up duties again (we worked together at Lauren and Barry’s wedding at The Midland Hotel). Once the bridal preparation were complete I made the short journey over to the Stables for the marriage ceremony. With a few tears (bit plenty more smiles) it was a lovely emotional service before the guests showered Emily and Chris with confetti.

Gardens of Colshaw Hall

As it was a rare dry day in summer (thankfully) Emily and Chris had their reception in the private garden of Colshaw Hall where their guests enjoyed canapes and drink. Emily and Chris joined me, James and Matt for 20 minutes of couple photos (and video) in the gardens of Colshaw Hall before returning for their big entrance into their wedding breakfast.

Following the wedding breakfast (that tasted awesome, big thanks to Barrett’s Event Caterers for sorting some food for us too) and the speeches, Emily and Chris headed outside to cut the wedding cake before their first dance and evening reception. Great to see John King from The RUSH again and they had the dance floor packed (as always) ! Big thanks as always to Shelley and the team at Colshaw Hall for making me feel so welcome, to James Andrew for his efforts on the day and to Matt for being a proper good laugh to work alongside.

Colshaw Hall Wedding Photographer

Some venues just have ‘it’ and Colshaw Hall is certainly one of those venues. Naomi and Tom booked me as their Colshaw Hall wedding photographer in December last year thanks to my appearance in the regional final for Best North West photographer at the Wedding Industry Awards.

Wedding in Knutsford

This was my first time at Colshaw Hall and all I can say is ‘Wow’! This is a beautiful venue, situated near Knutsford. It was a private home until very recently when the family decided to change it into a luxury wedding venue. The beauty of Colshaw Hall is that it has been left very much like someone lives there, with family photos on the walls and a warm, welcoming feeling. The swimming pool has been filled and converted into a stunning reception room and bar with purpose built stables the setting for the marriage service.

The Word Is Love

Naomi and Tom’s day was a classy affair from start to finish with Naomi sporting some very sparkly Jimmy Choo’s before she surprised Tom with a Breitling watch. Yep, I was pretty jealous of Tom at that point. The Moët was in fill flow too as I worked alongside some of the best suppliers in the North West with Jodie Smith creating Naomi’s flawless make up and hair, room decoration and flowers by Springbank Flowers and awesome light up letters from the one and only The Word Is Love. All these guys made an already great looking couple and venue look even more amazing and even easier to photograph! Happiness and Laughter

Naomi and Tom’s service was full of emotion, happiness and laughter before the guests enjoyed canapés. Naomi and Tom made the most of the winter sunset to grab their couple photos in the grounds of Colshaw Hall during the reception. After the wedding breakfast we nipped back outside for some off camera flash couple photos before the evening reception kicked off with a first dance, backlit with the amazing light up The Word Is Love ‘N&T’ signs providing the perfect backdrop to the first dance at this spectacular Colshaw Hall wedding.
