Swettenham Arms Wedding Photography // Kat and Mark
Swettenham Arms Wedding Photography
Kat and Mark’s Swettenham Arms wedding proves that you just cannot predict the wedding here in the UK. It is almost impossible to believe the photos below were all taken on the same day. Considering that it rained from the moment I arrived until around 7pm the last thing you’d expect was to be treated to one of the most beautiful sunsets of the year. Kat and Mark booked me to shoot their Swettenham Arms wedding photography in Cheshire with the day starting out at Cranage Hall with Kat and her bridesmaids. It was a relaxed morning with the girls enjoying plenty of champagne as they got ready. I made my way ahead of Kat and the ladies to St Peter’s Church, directly opposite the Swettenham Arms.
Drinks and Canapes
Mark was relaxed as he waited for Kat and there were plenty of smiles and laughter during their marriage service. Once Kat and Mark had exchanged their vows everyone took the short walk over the road to The Swettenham Arms. Despite it being August, the weather was very much Autumnal with plenty of rain through the day, so Kat and Mark’s guests made the most of the hospitality inside the Swettenham Arms and enjoyed drinks and canapes. The wedding breakfast and speeches followed whilst the rain continued to fall and I had pretty much conceded defeat in getting outside to shoot Kat and Mark’s couple photos.
Beautiful Summer Evening
However, you just cannot predict the weather and as soon as the speeches were over the clouds broke. From nowhere the sun came out and suddenly we had a beautiful summer evening. The guests headed outside to make the most of the warm sun. With giant Jenga and beer pong on the go, there was plenty of light hearted competition. I say light hearted, but the beer pong became a bit of an epic as the two teams really got into it! Kat and Mark then made the absolute most of the sunset for their couple photos at The Swettenham Arms in the lavender garden. It was a perfect ending to a brilliant wedding day and I loved shooting Kat and Mark’s Swettenham Arms wedding photography.
