Wedding Photography at Priory Cottages
Priory Cottages wedding photography is so much fun to do and I was delighted when Anna and Jon asked me to shoot their wedding after I had photographed Michelle and Matt’s Newton Hall wedding last year. Like Matt, I’ve known Jon for 15 years as we have played in the same Sunday football team and been on plenty of trips abroad for the various stag weekends within our circle of friends. Jon is, without doubt, one of the biggest characters you could ever meet and he’s been a constant source of crazy and hilarious stories in his time.
A few years ago Jon met Anna at work and now he’s a father to their son Joshua and the next step was Jon proposing, before Anna then took over planning their wedding day. Knowing Jon as I do, this wasn’t Anna being a bridezilla as left to Jon, I think I’d have photographed a very different wedding day, but in Anna’s capable hands it was a brilliant day and one where I got to work alongside some of my very favourite wedding suppliers!
Grace Wedding Films
I kicked off the day at Priory Cottages with Anna and her preparation working alongside Kirsty from Grace Films. Kirsty is brilliant, super discreet and great fun all at the same time. This was the second time we had covered a wedding this year (the other being Cesca and Joe’s Harewood House wedding) and it wouldn’t be the last as we’ve a few weddings coming up together. With a TV background you get top quality production and a documentary feel to your wedding film, I can highly recommend Kirsty!
I popped along to the pub near the church where I caught up with the lads enjoying a swift pint before we went to the church for the service. With a spectacular floral arch from the team at Serendipity Flowers leading up the aisle the church looked amazing. Also at the church were Dominic and Kieron from Rock My Reception and it was great to catch up and work with one of the best (and busiest) wedding duo’s in the UK. After the service the reception was held in the sunshine at Priory Cottages whilst Oliver Parker worked his close up magic skills on the guests.
After the speeches Anna and Jon joined me and Kirsty as the sun set for some couples photos before the evening reception started. I was very excited about this as the best live band on the wedding circuit were playing, Tom Rocks and The Replicants and it was brilliant to see the lads, who as always, were in amazing form. Their version of Fleetwood Mac’s Go Your Own Way was incredible and they ended up doing a double encore as the crowd would not let them finish! Seriously, you MUST book these guys for your wedding, every time I have worked with them they have had the party absolutely bouncing and I can’t wait to shoot my next wedding with these guys at the end of 2015!
A crazy and fun filled day for my first Priory Cottages wedding photography and I’m already looking forward to returning to shoot another wedding at this beautiful venue.
