Wedding Photography at Priory Cottages

Sophie and Rob headed back up north for their wedding photography at Priory Cottages near Wetherby. Priory Cottages is a wonderful venue for your wedding with accommodation, a stunning barn, great outdoor space and beautiful views. It’s the perfect venue for a rustic themed wedding. Set in acres of open land in Wighill Park, it’s a lovely venue. I love shooting wedding photography at Priory Cottages. With open corn fields,  the industrial barn doors on the working farm or the stylish barn buildings all providing brilliant backdrops for photos. With cottages on site too, getting ready for your wedding is also really easy and that’s exactly what Sophie did. I met up with Sophie and her bridesmaids at Priory Cottages as she got ready before we made the short trip to All Saints Church in Wighill.

Personal Wedding Service

Sophie and Rob’s wedding was a very personal, family affair with Rob’s dad taking the service. Rob’s father is quite high up in the church which explains his amazing outfit. Robs father made the service personal and very funny and it was a lovely marriage service. With the ‘I do’s’ completed and the marriage certificates signed, Sophie and Rob greeted their guests before heading back to Priory Cottages for their wedding reception.

Brilliant Speeches

Sophie and Rob managed to have their wedding on a rare, warm, summers day so the reception was held in the gardens of Priory Cottages. With the threat of rain hanging over us, Sophie and Rob spent 20 minutes on the farm and in the corn fields for their couple photos. I was really pleased with how the couple photos came out and love the shots in the corn fields. The speeches followed the meal and every speaker had the guests in stitches with some very edgy speeches. It was a brilliant set of speeches which set up the evening reception perfectly as all the guests were in a great mood for the first dance and evening reception. I really enjoyed shooting Sophie and Rob’s Priory Cottage wedding and can’t wait to head back to one of Yorkshire’s very best venues soon.
