Outdoor Wedding at The White Hart Lydgate | Katy + Jon
Weddings at The White Hart Lydgate
I’ve said this before, more than once, but I love shooting White Hart Lydgate wedding photography as it is so close to where I live. When Katy and Jon booked me for their wedding in August I was delighted to be back once again at one of my favourite (and very local) venues. I have to admit, I’ve not been the luckiest with the weather when I have weddings at the White Hart Lydgate before but thankfully, the weather was much improved, so much so Katy and Jon made the most of the clear skies for their first dance, but more about that later.
I started with the bridal preparation at Katy’s parents house in Glossop (and what a beautiful house it is too) before we made our way to the Albion Church in Ashton. The church had huge sentimental meaning for Katy and Jon as Katy’s parents got married at the same church and it is easy to see why Katy and Jon wanted to get married there too as the church is spectacular. I was given free reign to shoot the wedding inside the church including sneaking up onto the balcony for a cracking wide angle shot of the service that really hows off the spectacular church.
Saddleworth Moor
After the confetti had been thrown, Katy and Jon joined me on Saddleworth Moor for a very short session of natural couples photos (thanks to the strong Saddleworth winds) before we headed back to the White Hart in Lydgate for the reception, speeches and wedding breakfast. With a spectacular sunset Katy and Jon made the most of having a summer wedding by holding their first dance outside in the gardens of the White Hart. With a beautiful sunset as our newly weds danced together I made the most of the stunning back drop as we grabbed some beautiful sunset shots just after the first dance to round off another brilliant day as a White Hart Lydgate wedding photography.
So here’s Katy and Jon’s White Hart Lydgate wedding photography. Music by Fleetwood Mac, photos by me…
