Holy Angels Church

Laura and Rob headed back up north from London for their wedding in Cheshire and booked me to be shoot their The Mere Knutsford Wedding Photography. Laura and Rob’s wedding would be my first visit to The Mere Golf Resort in Knutsford and it was fitting that Laura and Rob had their reception at a sporting venue as a sporting theme ran through their wedding day. Rob is a passionate cyclist has helped teach over 15000 children how to learn to ride so there were plenty of nods to cycling throughout their day. I started the day in Cheshire at Laura’s parents house where Laura and her bridesmaids were getting ready. It was short drive to The Holy Angels church in Hale Barns. I’ve shot at Holy Angels church before for Julia and Jo’s wedding in 2016 and it’s a stunning building with amazing light. Rob and Laura had a beautiful wedding service at Holy Angels before walking out into a huge confetti shower.

The Mere Golf Resort and Spa

Laura and Rob’s reception was at The Mere Golf Resort and Spa in Knutsford. The weather was absolutely perfect for a summers wedding and the guests enjoyed the perfect summers weather outside. The speeches followed the wedding breakfast and once again, they were absolutely superb. Laura’s father opened up and had the room in fits of laughter before Rob followed up with an emotional speech. Finally Rob’s best men absolutely assassinated Rob’s character with their hilarious speech that had Rob and his brother (triple gold medal winning Olympic rower Pete Reed, OBE) with their heads in their hands. I hear a lot of wedding speeches and Laura and Rob’s were some of the very best.

Beautiful Sunset

The speeches finished just in time for a beautiful sunset over The Mere Golf resort. We made our way around the course to shoot Laura and Rob’s couple photos before we headed back for the evening wedding reception and first dance. I always try and shoot couple photos later in the day during summer to make the most of the lovely summer sunsets. Once Laura and Rob had started the party they were covered in a huge confetti explosion for the second time on their wedding day. I’m a huge fan of confetti cannons during the first dance as they look great on camera. I really enjoyed shooting Laura and Rob’s The Mere Knutsford Wedding Photography.
