Holdsworth House Wedding Photography

Donna and Matt’s Holdsworth House wedding photography was a big deal for Holdsworth House. It was the first ever outdoor wedding on their front lawn. When I shot Jen and Nik’s outdoor wedding a couple of years ago it was held in the courtyard, however the weddings can now take place on the beautiful lawn in front of Holdsworth House. It’s a stunning location for a wedding and we were lucky enough to have beautiful weather for Donna and Matt’s day. I’d met Donna and Matt at Rich and Laura’s wedding at Broadoaks Country House in 2016 when Matt was Rich’s best man. It’s always great to see former brides and grooms at weddings and it was lovely to meet Evelyn, Laura and Rich’s newborn daughter.

Wedding Tears

Donna had her make up at Holdsworth House and it was a relaxed morning of preparations. Matt greeted the guests whilst Donna’s father saw her in the dress for the first time. A few tears were shed and a few more followed as Donna made her way up the aisle. Donna and Matt’s service was lovely and you can see how happy they were as they walked back down the aisle. The guests enjoyed drinks and canapes in the sun as magician Luke Lenihan wowed them with a spectacular range of magic tricks. Matt’s work dog, Bo, made a special appearance at the wedding and meant Donna and Matt could have their ‘family’ portrait. Bo was a big hit among the guests before he had to go back to the day job.

Beautiful Summer Sun

The wedding breakfast and speeches followed the reception and with the nice weather continuing into the evening, Donna and Matt made the most of their couple photos in the lovely sun. Holdsworth House has some lovely locations for the couple photos and we made the most of them before the wedding cake was cut and the first dance started the evening reception. A big thanks to Tracy and the team at Holdsworth House for making me welcome and looking after me with a lovely meal. It’s always a pleasure to return to one of the oldest wedding venues I have shot at and I can’t wait to return in 2019!
