Harewood House Wedding Photography // Francesca and Joe
Weddings at Harewood House
I have to say a huge thanks to Kirsty from Grace Films for recommending me to Francesca and Joe who booked me to shoot their Harewood House wedding photography. I’d worked alongside Kirsty when covering Katie and Frazers wedding at The Mansion in Leeds in 2014 (which you can see more of here) and had a great time working alongside someone with a similar style, so obviously it was great to team up again for Francesca and Joe’s wedding in Yorkshire. With the bridal prep and church service in Harrogate followed by their reception at Harewood House, I knew this would be a classy and stylish wedding and I wasn’t wrong.
Yorkshire Landscape
The bridal prep was at The Crown Hotel in the centre of Harrogate (a town I always love visiting) and from there a 5 minute walk to the church where a slightly nervous Joe was waiting. Another fantastic vicar allowed both Kirsty and I free reign to shoot the service as we saw it, which means that we both got cracking photos and footage from the marriage service. After Francesca and Joe were married we grabbed a great confetti photo before a short drive down to the reception venue for my first time shooting Harewood House wedding photography. It wasn’t long before the guests were drinking prosecco on the terrace with the stunning Yorkshire landscape surrounding the even more stunning gardens of Harewood House. Even though it was a little more overcast than I’d have liked, it was nice enough to be outside and I got plenty of opportunities to sneak around and capture the guests thoroughly enjoying the free bar!
Natural Wedding Photography
After a handful of formals with the beautiful Harewood House as out backdrop I took Francesca and Joe for 20 minutes of natural wedding photos in and around the gardens before we all made our way to the Courtyard for the wedding breakfast and speeches. With some emotional and funny speeches done it wasn’t long before the first dance started the evening wedding celebrations. I spotted a few of the lads having a drink-off which indicated that it was going to be quite the party! I had a fantasic day shooting Francesca and Joe’s Harewood House wedding photography and I am very much looking forward to returning soon.
Kirsty from Grace Films
As always it was a pleasure to work alongside Kirsty from Grace Films and there a couple more weddings this year that we’re teaming up again. If you are looking for a wedding videographer who truly is documentary in her style, look no further. With a background in TV (including lots of shows you will have watched) Kirsty knows how to tell the story of the wedding as it happens!
I loved Francesca and Joe’s Harewood House wedding photography and here’s their day, music by Years & Years, photos by me…
