Castlefield Manchester Photography
Priscilla and Babz had their wedding at one of my favourite venues, The Castlefield Rooms, back in September. I love Castlefield Manchester photography and I always enjoy a wedding at the Castlefield Rooms and back in March I was Emma and David’s Castlefield Rooms wedding photographer, so it’s a venue I know well!
Priscilla and Babz’s wedding was a mix of a UK and Chinese wedding with the service at The Castlefield Rooms and then a Chinese reception banquet at The Ocean Treasure 235 in Manchester city centre. My day started with Priscilla and her bridesmaids in the city before I met up with Babz at The Castlefield Rooms. The service was great fun with a more than a little emotion before the guests enjoyed a drink as I took Priscilla and Babz for their Castlefield Manchester Photography in and around the arches and bridges.
We made the short journey from Castlefield to the Ocean Treasure 235 restaurant in The Great Northern. Priscilla changed into her red wedding dress as I am sure you all know that red is considered a lucky colour in Chinese culture and it also signifies love, prosperity and happiness. Before the banquet started Priscilla and Babz had their Tea Ceremony, which is a very important event where the Priscilla is formally introduced to Babz’s family and tea is shared to bring happiness to the couple. Finally before the meal could start, Priscilla and Babz were toasted at every table with a shot of some very premium whiskey, which as Babz handled brilliantly as he made his way around the 10 tables!
This was the first half of Priscilla and Babz’s wedding before they flew off to Hong Kong to continue the celebrations with their friends and family (but sadly not me!). So here’s Priscilla and Babz’s Castlefield Manchester photography. Music by The Attic Sleepers, photos by me…
