In May I got to shoot my first ever Mottram Hall wedding for Anna and Tom’s wedding day. I’d been to Mottram Hall only a couple of weeks earlier for the bridal preparation for Wendy and Carlton’s wedding. Mottram Hall is one of Cheshire’s best known hotels and it’s a fantastic wedding venue. Anna and Tom were both getting ready at Mottram Hall so I could jump between both rooms for the morning preparations. I knew it was going to be a good wedding after spending time with both the bridesmaids and groomsmen who were all up for a laugh and clearly planning on enjoying the day ahead. I couldn’t wait to shoot Anna and Tom’s Mottram Hall wedding photography.

Confetti In The Rain

Anna and Tom were married at Mottram Hall in a wonderful wedding service before heading out into the gardens for their reception. Magician Alex Fisher entertained the guests with some brilliant tricks (he even bamboozled me with a quite stunning trick with a £10 note and a Cadbury’s Crunchie). With the threat of rain hanging over us I quickly shot the formal groups and couple photos before the inevitable rain arrived and delayed the confetti photo. This was a wedding party that would not let the weather get in the way and despite the drizzle we shot the confetti in the rain!

Hilarious Wedding Speeches

The absolute highlight of Anna and Tom’s Mottram Hall wedding were the incredible speeches. I’ve been lucky enough to have witnessed some brilliant speeches shooting over 200 weddings however Anna and Tom’s were truly hilarious wedding speeches. I have never laughed as often during the speeches and I have never shot as many images during the speeches. The best men were absolutely brilliant and had the room on their feet in fits of laughter for their entire speech. With the rain now long gone Anna and Tom spent fifteen minutes with me for some extra couple photos before the Jukebox Band got the evening reception going!

I loved shooting Anna and Tom’s Mottram Hall wedding photography. It was a brilliant wedding from start to finish and Anna and Tom were wonderfully welcoming and fun all day long. So here’s Anna and Tom’s wedding day, photos by me, music by BORNS…
